Warning! This is an addictive recipe!! I have always had a sweet tooth and sometimes when I am following a meal plan I get major cravings for ice cream and cookie dough greek yogurt totally does the trick for me. There are many versions of this recipe out there but I like this version the best. For me, it’s the dash of salt that really makes it taste like cookie dough.
Cookie Dough Greek Yogurt Recipe
5.3 oz Plain Greek Yogurt
1 Tbs Natural Peanut Butter
1 tsp Honey
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Mini Chocolate Chips
1 Pinch of Salt
Directions: Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and enjoy your cookie dough greek yogurt!
-Many people make Cookie Dough Greek Yogurt with 1 Tablespoon of honey (versus 1 tsp). I reduce the amount of honey because I don’t like mine that sweet but also because it’s more in line with the 21 Day Fix and PiYo meal plans.
-If you do not like honey, you can substitute 1 tsp of stevia
-You can use vanilla flavored greek yogurt instead of adding vanilla. I prefer to use plain greek yogurt to avoid the sugar content of vanilla flavored greek yogurt.
I was asked about if PB2 would work instead of peanut butter. I did try it and it is yummy (I did not rehydrate, just added the PB2 to the yogurt) but it definitely has a completely different texture. My personal preference is to use the real peanut butter!
